TyUVWFreeze..freeze.
#1
Question
Hi,
Using a TyUVWFreeze for a scene with not too many particles (under 8000). Cached the particles in TyCache and used a simple planar UVWmap and a TyUVWfreeze on top of that. When rendering or scrubbing timeline 3dsmax suddenly crashes, but it´s totally random..it might work for few frames or few hundred frames, but eventually it´s going to crash. TyFlow system with same settings does not crash and TyCache is really small (about 300 kb / frame). Particles make out some 5 million polygons when cached. Not sure if the setup is correct so uploaded some screenshots of the setup. Can I use the TyUVWFreeze on top of the TyFlow system or is it necassary to cache the particles? Also what are the optimal settings for TyCache panel? Using Redshift to render.

Machine information:
HP Z8 Workstation
2 x Xeon Gold 5220 (18 cores, 36 logical processors)
1 x Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
1x Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
96GB Ram

Software:
Windows 10 (Latest updates)
Nvidia driver (Studio Driver 472.12)
TyFlow (v0.16130) and latest cuda dlls
Redshift (v3.0.59)
3dsmax (latest updates)

One thing worth of mentioning, I have particles spawning so geometry is changing/adding, but I´m freezing the UVWs at frame 400 which is after all the spawning is already happened. Could this be the reason?

It seems that Auto Freeze option fixed the crash issues.  Big Grin At least now it´s not crashing anymore.

If it's crashing, please submit the minidump.
