keyframed scale

Hi Postreal,
how do you sync this keyframed scale to the particle age (or birth) please?

I mean I would like each particle to fade away along its life
but I cant figure out how to do this very simple thing.

I tried all the combination between the "scale>timing" and the "scale>keyframe-synchronization" parameters
without any (understandable) result.
This thing drives me crazy...
