frost radius channel

if i try to mesh my particle system and select "use particle radius" in frost,   i often get a "partial radius channel" or "no radius channel present" error in frost.  strangely doesnt seem to always happen. 

   the tyflow cache does not seem to have radius, only scale. 

   if i export to prt, and choose to export radius, i can mesh it fine. 

could this be fixed?
