Unfortunately I don't have control over what gets hidden by those categories, nor do I know how it chooses to filter which objects. For example, when tyFlow's particle interface is enabled (so by all other accounts max recognizes tyFlow as an "official" particle object), it still is not hidden by the particles category...so for all I know the filter has which objects are applicable as a hard-coded thing.
