There is an error in 3ds Max 2020 after run tyPreview appearance_lights:2
"tyPreview error: ((NitrousGraphicsManager.GetActiveViewportSetting()).lightOption) -- Runtime error: Unrecognized code: #defaultLight2"


We need to use DefaultLightMode property now.
