Cloth de-convert - keep "in memory" original binding settings

Hi, would it be possible to remember the original binding settings after de-converting to shape?
Right now it remembers velocities only.
If it remembered the original settings we could de-convert and convert (necessary to apply mapping, unfortunately) while being able to reset bindings to original.
