Bending metal gate
#1
Hello there!
I am currently working on a project where i want to make metal gate bend under the force of impact from the other side.
The problem is that it does not behave like metal at all. The impact is there but it just goes back to it's previous shape. I think that is happening becuase i have PhysX Switch set to Dynamic (Activate) and it should've been set to Dynamic (Sleep) but it is disabled in TyFlow from what I read. Is there a way i can get around this or other method of bending metal?
All feedback appreciated!

Sorry for the quality of the preview I wanted to do it as fast as possible.

No, even if sleeping was enabled, it wouldn't give you the result you want.

What you want are PhysX binds that permanently deform once they surpass a certain relative angle. There's an example of how to set this up in the official example scenes.
