Align spawned particles to parent surface?

I'm looking for a way to align spawned particles so their Z is facing along the parent's surface normals.  This would make it easy to have spawned particles move away from the emitting surface using a Speed(ParticleZ) operator, or to align shapes like hair or grass correctly before binding.  Maybe I'm overlooking something simple here?

For general surface alignment, you can use a rotation operator in "surface align" mode.

To align spawned particles to their parent particle, that isn't added yet, but it's on the roadmap Smile
