I don't know if you know this script: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/gizmocontrol
I use it often to link modifier gizmos to helpers for easier animation control. That works fine with all "standard" gizmos (e.g. Cebas Scalpel modifier or built-in 3dsmax Slice modifier). But with your modifiers (in this case tySlice) it won't work. I think the script cannot find a "real gizmo". Are your gizmos made with another technique so that they will not be treated as gizmos? Maybe you could change that or provide another way to get link access to your special gizmos?
