I am trying to get path follow to work is a rather simple cause but it is not behaving as expected.
a simple path with a turn it. I want the particles not to get distorted around the bend but to hold their initial shape. The Path follow makes them spiral in order to keep the volume, but I don't want a spiral. It seems like it should be absurdly easy, but I can't get it to work. I though path deform would do it, but that doesn't seem to work either. Basically simulating a bunch of air particles flowing through ductwork.
This works more like I expect, but it's not TyFlow. https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-f...-p/5727092
Seems like the initial position should just be used to flow relative to the path and that would do it, but can't seems to get anything to work.
Maybe with flock? Maybe with some kind of follow the leader and a object attached to path as the leader?
Any help appreciated.
