Materials on tyCache?
#1
Hello Guys,

having the problem, that I cached all my stuff so far and haven't put proper Material on it before doing so.
I used "Chunks" on Preset provided by the "shape node".
I wanted to give slightly different colors to them. Since I missed the option to bake a material ID Node as well to the Cache
(don't know now if it would even be respected by tyCache), I am looking for a possibility to do this with the cashed result afterward.

One more or less unlucky solution is, to add an Edit Poly modifier on top and do it from there, which works well, but this kills the benefits of TyCache/TyObjects and increases render time / calculation between frames.

But maybe there is a more elegant way to do that?

not to leave the thread w. open question if someone stumble over it :

Solved by checking an tyCache Modifier -> Render Rollout -> to Meshes.
