VrayEdgesTex & VrayDirt

Does anyone know if there is a way to get VrayEdgesTex and VrayDirt to work properly or if they are maybe not supported at all? I couldn't find any mention either way.

I tried setting material IDs and using a single material for all particles, however no matter what I try the instanced cubes do not display rounded edges or dirt procedural properly, it's as though the scale is way off perhaps, no clue?  Huh

Edit: One other thing that is maybe known normal behavior, but I also noticed smoothing groups are not translating over to instanced geometry particles?

Well, for the vray edges, have you tried to just select edges in the position object operator?
Or you can add lattice modifier to your model, and just spawn particles on it.

As for vray dirt (that is basically AO) I don't think it's possible because it's "render based" map.
But you can "render to texture" vray dirt.. bake it to object, and then spawn particles on the baked map.

Maybe there is some "screen space AO" map in 3DS Max, as plugin, or something, and I guess, that could be used to spawn particles realtime in the viewport.

After much trial I’ve concluded it’s something with him w V-Ray is handling the particles.

The Vray Edges procedural works in Vray  CPU but not for GPU, neither CUDA nor RTX.

And exactly as you said Vray Dirt won’t work on roperly at all.
