Math Operator

Can we have a  math operator, where we can have a simple mathematical operation on custom float or custom vector based on color value or scalar value or another custom vector/float or maybe based on distance from target....

I mean simple operations, but can have good results....now ofcourse it can be done with scripting, but having a math operator can ease things
