I have very often crashes, when I'm selecting an object for surface test.
Today it happened three times...
Even on frame 0 and with Simulation mode only on time change.
When I Add or Pick an object (simple box) it's either taking a long time (minute of waiting) or crashing.
I have this issue since a few months with all the last versions...
