Surface test misses many particles
#1
Hi,
I positioned a box to select an area "inside volume"
but a lot of particles are still emited outside the volume.

How the make the surface test more accurate ?
(the accuracy parameter doesnt change anything)

Am I missing some "subframe" parameter somewhere ?...

Hard to guess without more info and/or a scene file.

Your Surface Test is placed before your Position Object operator...so your particles aren't in position yet when they're being tested. Swap the order.

Can you post the file? Something else is off then.

Well, preparing the example scene to send Max crashed
and after a restart...everything was absolutly normal. I guess it was just jammed...
Anyway the inside/outside selection works perfectly now Smile

My problem now is that at each frame the particles are "jumping" to different places along the surface
Is it possible to make them allways be born at the same place?

(so I wont have this "jittering" effect accross the animation)
