Hi Tyson

Could I just ask about the rendering setup. Did you create a little proxy of different sized grain of sands (in a clump) and instance them onto your sim particles? Just looking at how to get that nice sandy variety thing you have going. 

Just trying to work the up-res process, hopefully got it working correctly Big Grin

Thanks for any extra info on that.

I think the variety you see is nicely chosen texture (or several textures, mixed), and mapped on the whole particle system.
But yeah, that scene looks great, and any info from Ty, would be great.
For example, I liked how sand brakes into irregular patterns, and wonder how exactly, he achieved that.

Upres wasn't used on the sandman video. That's 8 million raw particles you're looking at Smile

Indeed you didnt use upres. I still can't get a nice non-grid like look.

At the moment I am trying to break the particles up a bit before applying a cluster bind but the particles go a bit nuts. once the bind is applied.

Any pointers would be great to get rid of the grid look Big Grin
