Can Particle Properties influence Material values?
#1
Hey, i was wondering how i could get tyflow particles properties like Age or Velocity, influence material values like VrayLightMtl opacity or color?

I watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3yYaILifZw

The guy in the video uses blender and creates a shader that uses the particle age to define the color and brightness of the material. I just cant get it to work in tyflow and vray...

Thanks in advance

Texmaps can't directly read particle properties, but you can use gradients to control shader/texmap values through particle UVWs.

There's an official example file showing how to do it (tyFlow_UVWGradient_001)
