How to animate a tyCarf

Hello,

simple question: I have a cracked surface, prepared with TyCarf, and it looks actually already how it should be after simulation.

My idea is to have two objects, one original and one already tycarfed, which were blended with a surface test.
I guess this is the proper way - except of course, that I would have to add debris flying away.

In case there is a smarter workflow, thanks for any hint Smile
