tyCache invisible particles

Hi,

I'm trying to export particles from several events that are invisible from start. In the 3ds max viewport and render, everything works well, but when I make a global tyCache the particles are always visible in the viewport and in renders.

In the first event, Display and Mesh are inactive and the particles get visible when they go to the second event where Display and Mesh are activated. As said, this works fine without tyCache and all particles are invisible in the first event. 

How can I make them invisible in the tyCache?

Yeah.. it's actually how is supposed to be.

TyCashe doesn't know they are invisible even you disabled display (tycache doesn't care of display), or mesh (again, mesh operator is for rendering, so tycache doesn't care of it either)... and since you have birth object operator, tycache see that and cashe it as mesh.

Quick fix would be to add scale operator in all events that are invisible, and set scale to zero.
And in all other events that you want to display, place another scale operator set to absolute and 100% (I think that's default anyway).

Okay, good to know how tyCache works. Scaling solved the issue with the invisible particles. I'm a bit careful when animating scale to 0, 3ds max sometimes go crazy but so far so good.  Big Grin
