Object bind: Combine "sticky" with springs
#1
Hi, right now if we want particles to follow the volume of an object while a force is being applied wecan use the sticky option in Object Bind with friction <100. It works but particles are limited to the surface.
If we use springs particles can "leave" and get back to the surface, but can't move around like in the sticky option. Would it be possible to haveĀ a mode/checkbox that combines those things (traveling on the surface + spring behavior)?
Thanks!

You could try just layering 2 Object Binds together...first one uses spring settings, second uses sticky settings.

hmmm I thought that the sticky one would keep the particles to move away from surface. I'll try, thanks

I thought you wanted spring-like particles that are stuck to the surface? I don't understand what the inverse would look like - particles that can move freely but also spring? Spring relative to what, if they're able to move freely?

The linear spring and dynamic spring methods are already "stuck to the surface", as in, they behave like if the virtual spring is bound to a fixed point on the surface.
I would like a behaviour where this point can move freely on the surface (like particles do in sticky mode when friction is less that 100%).
