Scale animation popping randomly
#1
Hi,
I have particles floating around voxels generated in a torus volume.
I'd like my particle have there size changing smoothly, as pulsing in some way.
I animated a scale (100 to 700 % looping) operator.

My problem is when I  use 'offset variation' or 'speed variation' it make the particles "poping" randomly (see the preview)...
how could I fix this please?

A precision : The scene is based on the tuto "tyFlow_findTarget_001.max".
So it uses the "target" channel, I think that's the problem because if I use the same animted scale operator on a "regular" particle emitter it works smoothly.

I took a look at this and I was able to reproduce the issue.
I found the scale glitching to be related to Multi-threading. When I disabled Multi-threading, it fixed the issue. See image.

This should be fixed in the next build already. You're correct - the workaround is to disable multithreading in affected flows.
