Explicit XYZtoUVW mapping not supported?

Looks like Explicit Mapping set to XYZtoUVW doesn´t work, as demonstrated here with this very complicated test...(tried both the density map slot in the position object and a surface test by texture):

   

   

I use explicit XYZtoUVZ mapping quite extensively, any chance this could be implemented? Or that I´m just doing something wrong?
