Add another algorithm to tyVertexOrder
#1
Hi
I'm still using Morphix, even though distribution of this morph target repair tool has ended.
I'd like to see algorithms like those in Blender or Maya added to TyVertexOrder.

Blender - Transfer the vertex order

Maya - Transfer Vertex Order

What's the issue you're having with the existing methods?

Thank you for your reply.

If the vertices are too close together, it won't work.
I wish there were a solution.

Do the meshes have the same vertex count? If so, how did the ordering get mismatched in the first place?

The number of vertices is the same.
I created the head first, then made the body later, and put them together.
The IDs got out of sync during that process, so I’m trying to figure out a solution.

I can use both Maya and Blender, but I’d prefer to get everything done in Max if possible.

Did you actually get the vertex order aligned using Maya/Blender? I guess you need to be more specific about exactly what ordering technique you think would work in your case, that is missing from tyFlow.

Both worked without any issues.
I think it probably works the same way.

Sorry,It’s hard for me to explain.
I suspect it’s determining matching vertices by adjacent vertices from the reference polygons of the two meshes.

Please post the meshes so there's no guesswork involved. If you can't post publicly, send to [email protected].
