cloth aerodynamics
#1
I'm using tyFlow Free.
I opened tyFlow_cloth_001.max from tyFlow sample scenes and I'm trying to activate cloth aerodynamics options.
No matter what I do this option has no effect.
Why? Do I need tyFlow PRO licence?

By the way - Vray 6 GPU doesn't render tyFlow cloth...

Settings I've changed:
  • System units: cm
  • Particle Bind Solver Steps: 75
  • Simulation substeps: 50
  • Speed oprator Magnitude: 20
  • This operators are turned off: Slow, Force (Noise)
  • Force (Gravity): built-in gravity OFF, Gravity001 Force is added, relative to perpendicular surface area: ON, Cloth aerodynamics: ON

The reason it's not working is because the only force you're applying is gravity - and gravity forces are ignored when computing aerodynamic lift (type lift should typically only be affected by things like wind, noise, etc). Although I can see how that could be confusing, since it's an internal switch and not something made obvious to the user. I should probably disable that for a future build...
