Show names for deleted nodes
I'm not sure how simple this would be, but is there any way that the names of deleted nodes/meshes...etc could be visible? Basically, I'm merging objects into another scene with a stack of tySelect modifiers and having to manually note which mesh they were using to pick the corresponding object in the new scene. 

Does that make sense?
Unfortunately that's not possible. Once a node is deleted, it no longer has a reference in the scene. And its reference is where its name is taken from. No reference = no name Smile

The display of "<deleted>" is not my own implementation, but instead Max's way of displaying a deleted node inside a nodelistbox.
Ahhh, I did wonder if something like that would be the case. Never mind!

I think I've found a way to work around it Big Grin
