Particles filling an object (box) - Onlywayhome - 10-01-2019 Hi all Newbie, trying a few ideas. I've followed a few tutorials and set up a simple scene. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If not a link to something similar. 1) I would like to have particles spawn from above, the particles are 3d Geometry (stones shapes) and fill a box, but not to overflow or break the edge, trying to keep a clean edge. So far I can get the box to fill - ish, but it's not great. 2) Is there a way to turn the particles into a mesh, not to animate just to render a still? Thank you RE: Particles filling an object (box) - modernslinke - 10-08-2019 I'd also love to know how to do this too! I'm trying to fill a glass with ice cubes but they aren't constrained to the mesh and also not interacting with each other as they should. RE: Particles filling an object (box) - d4rk3lf - 10-10-2019 Not sure what's the problem guys. I had some free time, and I did it quickly. 2 things I only changed in Physics. 1) In the physX shape operator, I checked "ignore start penetrations",. so the ice cube don't collide immediately when spawned. 2) In the physX Collision operator, I changed the "hull type" to mesh, so it doesn't simplify geometry. I didn't even increased timing substeps, and PhysX substems (but if your system are faster, you might consider that). Here is the result: https://youtu.be/Ik97zAu9A-U Attaching you a scene file. |
