How to bind cloth to PhysX? - Alexx31 - 08-01-2023

Hello,

does someone know, how it's possible to bind a cloth surface to PhysX particles?

Imagine a thin foil, which is glued to many chunks of PhysX. (A wall of loose Lego bricks which are glued on a foil.)

It means, when the PhysX chunks move then foil moves with them.
But should not intersect (just as clothing does not overlap with the skin)

PhysX Bind is working with standard objects in the scene explorer as far as I know.

Thanks

It would be much easier to just make the foil part of the PhysX sim.

You can convert to normal cloth first, then deactivate all the cloth particles with a PhysX Switch...give them a Shape and then re-bind them with a PhysX Bind operator...now you'll have "cloth" that's actually just part of the PhysX sim.
