tyCache not loading correctly into Birth Flow, ignoring "new particles only" - Alexx31 - 09-28-2024

Hello,

when I import tyCache into a Birth Flow operator with Flow Update, then I'm getting very different results.

The simulation has not more collision and seems to duplicate the particles at each frame.
Attached two screenshots comparing tyCache and the same tyCache imported into Birth Flow, both seen at the same frame.
(start frame is correctly 1001)
The issue shows up with only the birth flow operator (flow update deactivated), and is constanly importing new particles at each frame, ignoring "new particles only" and not doing any simulation.

I remember using always this workflow - did something change or did I miss something?

2.)
Is it possible to import a cached cloth simulation into a birth flow?
I tested to convert it with Cloth Bind operator, but it seems not possible.

Thanks

Issue: tyCache not loading correctly into Birth Flow, ignoring "new particles only" - Alexx31 - 09-29-2024

I tried today many hours to find out, unsuccessfully:

I can import into a "tyFlow with Birth Flow"  some other events as known and expected.
But not a certain event....
Used exactly same settings for export and import. tyCache looks always right, but imported tyCache is completely weird (only with this flow and a second one).

Comparison between tyCache and imported tyCache in Birth Flow: Birth Flow lets many particles float around and does not keep them "deleted".

tyCache Setting "Subframe scale down"? - Alexx31 - 09-29-2024

After long investigation I found this setting at the tyCache object, which only influences the Birth Flow (but not the tyCache, so it seems at first to do nothing)

Elements > "Born/deleted particles" > Subframe scale down...

Never before seen this...

Testing now and I hope it will solve it.

(reported bug)

old message:

This solved it for the tyCache.

And now I have the same problem with the tyFlow imported into a BirthFlow.
But the tyFlow node has not the same settings like the tyCache node with "Subframe scale down".

So my simulations needs to be cached - or any hidden settings?

I looked through my years old detailed documentations, there was never this issue, this must be something new...

Thanks

If you think you've found a bug, please post a simplified scene file where it is reproducible. I can't guess what might be causing issues like this from screenshots and text descriptions.
