How do a soft selection - nomad - 04-25-2025 How can I create a soft selection in TyFlow? I want to apply a force gradually across a particle system. I tried using the Surface Test operator with 'Volume Inside,' but it only gives an on/off result — there's no gradual transition. Is there a way to achieve this? I imagine it might be possible through a mapping channel, but I haven't been able to find any examples. RE: How do a soft selection - d4rk3lf - 04-26-2025 There is maybe a better way, but you can make force gradually affect particles based on distance from the object with slow operator. Here is I quick example I did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obz-BwGsS9U In above example, they are born on cylinder, and slow operator is making them soft selected based from the distance of sphere. In the attachment is the file. |
