tyMeshRepair question - betamax - 05-09-2025 Hey tyFolks, Please see attached video. Does anyone know if it's correct procedure to add multiple tyMeshRepair modifiers?? We had to add 4 x tyMeshRepair modifiers so that it finally said 'No Issues detected', so we wondered why just 1 modifier couldn't fix the issue? Thanks for any insight. RE: tyMeshRepair question - tyFlow - 05-10-2025 Mesh winding order correction has no analytical solution and is based on heuristics. These heuristics try to fix winding order with various best-estimate criteria, but given the nature of input, may fail. Since changes to winding order will change how the heuristics process the mesh, successive attempts to fix winding order on a sufficiently convoluted mesh may produce different results. In your case by chance it took 3 attempts before the heuristics deemed the mesh winding order clean. |
