Texture image sequence random time
#1
I have a Tyflow that creates around 7.000 cubes aligned in rows which have a multi-subobject material applied to it. This material has 17 different Vray materials attatched, each with a different image sequence as a texture. My problem is, I can see obvious repeating of textures. To avoid this, I would like to randomly shift the timing of the image sequences for all the 7.000 cubes to avoid the obvious repeating. How can I achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

To simplify. I would like to randomize the starting point of the playback of a texture (image sequence) over many particles.

This is definitely possible...have you looked at the tyBitmap texmap? You can use it to control individual particles' playback of an image sequence.

I just started looking into the tyBitmap yesterday but haven't yet figured out how to implement it. My main problem with tyBitmap is, as far as I am aware, it doesn't support Vray GPU. Is this correct? At least, it doesn't work with GPU IPR.
