Hi all,
I'm currently using the standard 3ds Max Cloth modifier in my project, but I'm consistently running into issues with it being very slow and temperamental.
The shapes I'm trying to simulate are quite specific: long, thin, 5cm by 40cm. I am trying to unwrap the object and make it flat. In essence I need to unroll them with minimum distortion. Screen shot attached showing my current flattening process.
My question is do you think TyFlow can do this and what would the best approach be? I'm assuming tyflow would be a lot quicker being multi threaded. One of the advantages of the native 3ds Max Cloth modifier is that I can drag the cloth a bit if it folds over itself to help it go flat. Can TyFlow do something similar to this?
I thought I would consult the forum first before I go down the TyFlow rabbit hole.
Thanks in advance for your guidance!
