How to create a surface/object test with distance falloff

Hi, I am trying to achieve this result, when you add an operator such as surface or object test, the particles in the falloff area can be partially affected. Right now it's either/or, the particles are either within the surface test range or outside. So there is no gradual change.

C4D cloner + effector with falloff.

tyflow with surface test (volume inside), currently there is no falloff.

How do I achieve this? Or is this a new feature to be developed? Thanks a lot!
