2 way Cloth interaction
#1
Hi there,

Just curios, is it possible to deform cloth with phoenix liquid in 2 way interaction?

thanks and best regards

Jonas

P.S. to be a bit more precise, I have to deform a dense fiber mesh, idealy with fluids wich stick to the cloth and deform it in same time..

You'd have to do it using PhysX bodies/binds, rather than typical cloth. It's possible, but probably not worth the hassle. I'd suggest doing your Phoenix sim first, then having your cloth interact with it, then doing a secondary flow for things like drips or whatever you want to have "interact" with the cloth (but it would be a one-way interaction).

Ja i used spline birth and PhysX binds, and a spline mesher with siblings wich worked quite well too, but when i try'd to Export as alembic it tooked ages for export the spline mesher.. so i switched to cloth.
i try to fake a bit using soft bodys now. Thx for your help!
