Can this be done with Tyflow? "sticky" UVW
#1
Hi all,

could you please take a look at the first 3 seconds of this video:

I couldn't figure out how would I do something like this in Tyflow (if possible). I could use animated height maps, to make the "ripples" but I'm not sure how to "stick" the UVW to the deformation, if you know what I mean...

Any advice you could give, will be much appreciated. Thanks Rolleyes

I'm not even sure you'd need tyFlow for something like that...could probably be done with animated displacement?

Perhaps a heavily retimed cloth sim, to get some more dynamic undulations? There are probably a variety of ways to create that, and it looks like most of the work is done by the shader.

"Perhaps a heavily retimed cloth sim" - that's exactly what I did, at first Big Grin

Ok, so I guess that's the right way to do it!

Thanks a lot for your help!
