Object Bind plus Position Displace
Would it be possible to have a new feature added to Object Bind where we could displace the particle position from the surface alignment?

Right now particles are stuck right on the surface with Lock to surface> Snap to surface. So imagine we are able to displace from that surface with either a random (with curve) or a texture value with variation. The random value would be sticky and the texture value would interpolate per step as particles can slide over surface when friction is below 100.

Object Bind by default can bind particles at a distance...just don't enable 'snap to surface'. When 'snap' is disabled, they'll simply maintain their starting distance. You can still have them slide and such, with low friction.
