HI,Tyson!

The relax operator does not work on 3DS MAX 2023. Please check!

There is another question. After adding the "relax" operator, the object will be forcibly divided into triangular faces. Is this normal? thank you

Seems to work fine here...maybe there's an issue with the geometry you're putting it on?

Hey,

This is a very strange issue, because when I try to reproduce the issues in your video exactly, I still can't reproduce it. The relax works as expected on my machine.

What version of Max are you using? I know 23...but could you tell me the exact build number? You can find it in Help > Autodesk Product Information > About 3ds Max.

I did upgrade, so it may be the problem after upgrading to the new version.

I used the latest version in the test forum
If you do not have this problem, it means that it is caused by the new version upgrade. This is really a headache.

Looking further into the issue, it seems the Max devs changed their relax function in the latest beta and it has now broken the Relax operator.

It shouldn't really be an issue though, tyFlow has its own built-in relax function now (used in the tyRelax modifier)...so I'll just switch to that instead. Using my own algorithm will also prevent the triangulation of the faces that you were seeing, so it solves both issues.
