Which license?

Which is the most suitable license for switching between laptop and workstation in 2 different locations? and never on the same network?

ie. laptop at home, workstation in the studio. 

Would node-locked be suitable here? or is there a limit to deactivations/reactivations?

There's no limit to activations, no. You can migrate licenses as often as you need. If the machines aren't on the same network, then node-locked would be best. If you purchased a floating license and the machines can't see each other, you'd have to use the same deactivation/reactivation process with floating as you would with node.

Node-locked migration can be done by opening max, selecting a tyFlow object and in the License rollout clicking 'de-activate'. Then on the other machine you can activate.
