Birth ID based on mesh topology

Hello,

it's great to work with Select operator or Birth IDs.
But as soon as there are changes in the flow - even when I only add a voronoi to a different birth object in a different event - all the work is lost.

Couldn't a Birth ID get fix assigned based on mesh topology? 
(similar to fix IP addresses in a network Wink)

That's not possible, no. As soon as particle count in a flow changes, birth IDs can change. The closest to a workaround would be to manually change even evaluation order (click an event and change it) so that your Select operator events always evaluate before any other events that may change particle counts.
