Laggy animation Tyflow
#1
Hey TyfLovers,

Im currently trying to create an effect where liquid slowly and seamlessly covers the object (DNA) However, as you can see in my exported footage, the animation is laggy and does not look smooth at all.

Im using Retimer, with a time remap of 1/12

Does anyoane have suggestions on how to achieve a smoother adn more natural looking result ?

Yeah, I've seen this on facebook group.

Why are you using retimer at all?
And I am not sure I understand your flow.

Why not simply birth a lot of particles (to cover all the object) on first frame with birth operator, then you add position object operator and reference that main object.
Then surface test with that object you animated... leading to new event where you can have only particle group operator (you will use that to tell Tymesher to build mesh only on that second event).
And that should be all.

Hey, thanks for getting back to me!

I've been using Retimer to create a slow-motion effect when the camera slows down.

I agree, this is essentially what I did in this scene. However, when I scroll through the timeline frame by frame, I notice large gaps between frames, causing a laggy effect even when Retimer, Mesher, and other elements are turned off. It seems to be something within the scene itself. Perhaps it's due to the large movement over a short time or an issue unrelated to TyFlow altogether.

In the end, I achieved the effect without TyFlow by animating a Slice modifier, allowing the liquid to be revealed continuously. The result turned out pretty well!

Thanks again for your input! Smile
