RTX 5090 graphics card upgrade and now Tyflow causes Max to take 15 mins to open
#1
I've been lucky enough to get hold of an Nvidia RTX 5090 to add AI stuff to my arsenal of tools.

After upgrading, Max takes 15 mins to open. Through trial and error i've discovered that it's the Tyflow plugin causing the issue. Removing the dlo solves the issue but then no Tyflow.

My graphics drivers are up to date. Tyflow is up to date. Max is Max2023 because it was all working nicely until today and i didn't feel the need to upgrade it.

The long pause happens after this block of text in the log..

2025/04/19 17:13:37 DBG: [03176] [09476] Graphics driver requested by the user : Nitrous

and the next thing is..

2025/04/19 17:30:50 INF: [03176] [09476] Loaded script: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2023\scripts\startup\CivilView.ms

Anyone got any ideas how to solve this?

Thanks.

I can’t think of anything that would cause this…but if you create a file called C:\forcelog.tyf, tyFlow will log its time stamped initialization process to file…maybe then you can see where the slowdown is.

If you still can’t solve it, you can email support@tyflow.com and we can arrange a remote debugging session.

Thank you. I didn't expect to get a reply so quick so didn't keep an eye on the forum. I will do this and then on Tuesday after the Easter holiday i'll get in touch via that email if i need to.

Your assistance is much appreciated Smile
