Problem with Corona Render
#1
Hello,

It seems that it's not possible to render with Corona.
When I try to render the scene, with IR or Render an error message appear :
"You have 3ds Max bitmap paging enabled. This is known to drastically reduce performance of textures while rendering"

I disable paging, restart 3ds, but 3ds still freezing when I try rendered an exemple scene

I use 3ds Max 2018

Thanks

Hmm...that's odd....tyFlow doesn't make any modification to the bitmap paging system, however I also haven't tested with Octane renderer at all. Maybe something else is causing that problem and the bitmap paging error is coming up instead. I'll look into it, thanks!

Can confirm, as soon as i hit render with any sort of tyflow in the scene, 3ds max freezes and crashes.

3ds max 2018
Corona 3 stable

Could you try putting an edit mesh on top of the tyFlow and hitting render? That will basically bypass the interfaces that tyFlow exposes and might be a temporary workaround.

Initial tests: 3ds Max 2020 - Corona 4 latest daily

1) tyFlow freeze/crash
2) Added edit mesh/edit poly modifier - renders ok
3) Turned on DOF - render ok
4) Turned on motion blur - crash
5) Turned off motion blur - render ok
6) Started interactive render - freeze

*bitmap paging has nothing to do with crashing*

Where exactly did you add the Edit Mesh/Poly Modifier?

On top of the tyflow object - for example in the tyflow_cloth_001 scene, I selected the emitted cloths, and then applied the edit mesh modifier on top.
