different machines render tyflow differently
#1
i have been trying to work out why this is flickering as its a very simple flow....
turns out its different machines. any ideas here? I could xmesh i suppose but ideally i wouldnt have to do that unless rendering on an excternal farm. its slow to do as well...

any ideas here? or ideas on how to do a simple growth system thats activated by geometry to grow splines?

rendered on single machine - not flickering

rendered on farm over deadline (vrayNEXT CPU) - changes between frames

did you cache the particle system with tycache?

If you don´t want to use tyCache for some reason you could still enable "Strict determinism" in the Particle Bind Solver roll-out.

You can find more documentation about it here:

I don't see anything in your flow that should lead to indeterminism (even with 'strict determinism' disabled), so please send the scene to support@tyflow.com for debugging.

In the meantime, try setting max threads to 1 in your main tyFlow settings to disable multithreading, which may be causing the problem if it is indeed a bug.

thanks for the replies ill give strict determinism a go.

tycache doenst work with tysplines and this flow. it will export parts of it not the whole end result (? cant find any tutorials so might be missing something...) xmesh works though but still having some issues with it im working through. upside is it means i can render on commercial farms...
