Hi everyone I thought it might be a good idea to make another noise modifier except the new one will be able to render more complex effects rather than the original which only adds symmetrical hills

Try displace with smoke procedural as a map, and you'll get something like that. Smile

Yea these types of displacements should typically be done with a texmap...however, Max's 3D Noise modifier is still very old and could use an update.

a new noise modifier would be great, the old one is , lets face it, pants lol
something similar to "mountain SOP" from H**dini would be nice.

You can use displace modifier and OSL noises, which are pretty advanced.
