Workflow for Exporting Alembic?
#1
I'd like to be able to export the tyflow deforming objects, etc as an alembic. For example in the tearable cloth example file, can I select the sphere and cloth and simply export as alembic? When I open it in Maya, everything is static.

Try putting an Edit Mesh modifier on top of the tyFlow (make sure the tyFlow's particle interface is off) and re-export. If it comes out static again, either Maya's importer is broken or Max's exporter is broken, or both. Alembic isn't fully implemented in either yet so I wouldn't be surprised. Eventually the Export Particles operator will be able to export meshes directly.

Thanks! That worked.
